Last week, we were thrilled to get a sneak peek of the new Iron Hill Brewery opening up in Center City. Their new, spacious, location, situated at 12th and Market, opens today September 13th.
We tried their Philly Special, a citrusy IPA with hints of pineapple and resinous pine. It went great with the many items we sampled over the course of the night. As we were ordering our drinks, we got the chance to talk to the humble Kevin Finn, the president of the company. He told us about the company’s amazing success that he never expected, and how the company has expanded across the country.
Our favorite dishes were the hummus and the steak. We loved the fact that it had smoky fried chickpeas on top and was served with feta. It was truly a perfect pair. The rib- eye steak was cooked to perfection and served with creamy mashed potatoes.
