For over 34 years, White Dog Cafe in University City has been featuring farm to table dining and libations in a trio of Victorian brownstones.
The White Dog Cafe has been a staple to the dining scene in University City. They recently expanded into one of the brownstones beside them creating the perfect addition- The Parlor Bar and Solarium. Designed by the creative group who brought Philadelphia Harp and Crown, Rohe Creative really nailed every detail here from the seating to the plants.
It's safe to say this is our new favorite brunch spot. We enjoyed 2 apps, Sandy Ridge Deviled Eggs Cage Free, Half Dozen, Chef 's Assortment of Seasonal Fillings and the Yellowfin Tuna Tartare over Avocado, Sriracha, Sesame Soy Emulsion and True Leaf Micro Cilantro. We didn't forget to order cocktails, from Bloody Mary's to Sangria's we decided on- In West Philadelphia and a Snoop A Loop. Who doesn't love a vegetarian option at brunch? The Sweet Potato & Black Bean Enchiladas really hit the spot with Roasted Sweet Potato, Black Beans, Mole Verde, Queso Fresco. For the meat eaters out there we tasted the burger too! From Green Meadow Farm the Double Cheddar Burger has Grilled Red Onion, Smoked Bacon Mayo and the BEST Truffle Parmesan Fries.
